The beginning…..
Step into History was started way back in 2002 by Bob Riley. His passion for history and the places he visited inspired him to create a resource for others to find all these amazing historical places. The site stayed alive for many years before he let it go.
In 2025, I picked it up and started bringing it back to life. Using his old site as a starting point, I began bringing this amazing resource back to life. I look forward to sharing so many amazing ideas for exploring some of our nations oldest and most historic places.
My name is Reese Leonard, and am a true lover of all things history!
From museums to parks, whenever I hit the road – it is historical places that take the top spot for my list of to-do’s. I will document some of my travels and research into places I dream of going all in the hopes it inspires you to help keep history alive.
I believe strongly in historical preservation and hope someday proceeds from this site can be donated to organization that work so hard on keeping historical places alive for future generations to enjoy.
